Introducing Mollie and Max

Time to introduce the new members of the household. Two rescue kittens Mollie and Max. We think that they are around 4 months old and have had very little human contact. They are semi- feral and although very cuddly they are very scared and not at all tame. It's going to be a long haul training them, but after the death of Millie, I decided to re-home a kitten. When it came to it, Mollie and Max who are sister and brother were the last two in the sanctuary and I could not split them up, so took them both!

That's my girl, Emma

During December 2006 Emma was chosen to represent The Royal Corps of Signallers in the Swimming and Water Polo Championships in Aldershot, she gained yet more recognition for being the youngest member of the team at just 19 years old. The women's water polo team won the final against the Adjutant General Corps by a score of 5-2. Emma's photo appeared in the Solihull Times and the Solihull Observer, needless to say I am very proud of my daughter. Well done Emma!

New Year In Sweden

I have been in Sweden now for 5 days, its very cold but not as cold as it normally would be. We are at present minus 6C but normally you would expect minus 15C. Neither have I seen any of the white stuff although the rivers and lakes are starting to freeze up. I am really hoping it will snow before I return to Blighty.
At midnight on New Years Eve we set off fireworks and popped a bottle of champagne, but actually I did miss the complete madness of a British New Years Eve party. Auld Lang Syne, The Conga, party poppers the remains of which can be found under the furniture for months to come! The more I travel the more I realize that England is a wonderful place to live, and that had I not been lucky enough to be born English I may not have had the opportunity to travel and see other places, as I do now. One thing is for sure it's always great to get home!
